  1. Hey Janet! This is a great idea, I’d totally love to try making this at home 🙂 I’ve used alum stone as a deodorant and still do, especially when it’s not so hot outside- I did give in and buy a commercial one a few weeks back when the alum stone just wasn’t cutting the mustard in the intense humidity we’ve been having! Now it’s cooling down again it’s the perfect time to try this recipe. Thanks for sharing!

    • Hey Leah, I think you will enjoy this homemade deodorant. It’s easy and can be done within minutes. I know what you mean with trying to find a deodorant that works well during summer. Good luck Leah!x

  2. I never even thought of making my own! I’m going to give it a go. If you don’t use essential oil, does it roll/slick on with the recycled container ok? I’m imagining that it’s quite powdery?

    • Hi Amanda, Essential oils is optional. It’s not powdery at all. If it is, you have to add more coconut oil. Melt the coconut oil a bit before you mix it together so the ingredients can mix in well. My roll on works great! If you put it in a roll on, keep the bottle in a room temperature area so it stays soft. If it hardens just run the bottle under hot water to soften it up. Try it! You will love it.

  3. This looks really awesome! I’d really like to try this as I don’t particularly like using something so toxic – but I really need something that will work and last all day, so I’d be keen to test this out.
I also love that you’ve put it into a roll-on bottle, genius! This is exactly what I would want to do! Thanks for sharing! oxo
